Our Schoeller runners have delivered impressive performances over the past few months. At the B2Run in Aachen and the Severinslauf in Cologne, our team once again proved that they can go full throttle not only at work but also on the running track, mastering distances of 5 to 10 km.
On April 18th, after work, 16 motivated participants took to the starting line in Aachen. Two weeks later, 8 team members ran in Cologne under perfect weather conditions. Alongside familiar faces, new team members also took on the sporting challenge.
While some aimed to beat their personal best, others simply wanted to finish. Despite all the effort, it wasn’t just about athletic success or ambitions; camaraderie and fun were also front and center.
Schoeller x Max Buddels Fun-Lauf Euskirchen
This camaraderie was especially evident on August 25th during the Max Buddels Fun Run. After a break of several years, the cult obstacle race in Euskirchen took place again, much to the delight of many locals and regional fans. “Many participants completed the run, which was held for the first time in five years as part of the ‘Treff Natur’ summer festival, in teams. For example, a group of Schoeller employees from Hellenthal came to Euskirchen.”

Schoeller not only provided participants at the starting line but took on the role of a cooperation partner and was happy to proudly support a regional event. Seven colleagues tackled the 4.5 km course together on Sunday morning, overcoming around 15 obstacles with flying colors – steep climbs, descents, climbing, jumping, crawling through mud, and more. Wet, dirty, but happy, they crossed the finish line as a team.
New Team Hoodies
Before the race, the registered team was surprised with new team hoodies. In the future, every employee participating in one of the joint runs will receive one of these cozy, bright red hoodies. They not only keep you warm but also strengthen team spirit. The slogan “Läuft.” (Running Strong) on the back says it all.
What’s Next in 2024
It is particularly great to see how these events bring together colleagues from different departments and strengthen the sense of community.
Our sporting ambitions for 2024 are far from over. In September, the running shoes will be laced up again when the B2Run in Cologne takes place. About 20 colleagues from various departments have already registered, and we are excited to equip them with new hoodies before heading to Cologne together on a “team bus.”
